  • On October 26, 2011, the United States Court of Appeals For the First Circuit issued its written opinion affirming a defense verdict obtained by Robert La Hait on behalf of Stonebridge Life Insurance Company. The preceding jury trial had involved a dispute over whether the plaintiff was entitled to the death benefits payable under three accidental death policies as a result of the named insured's death. After three days of trial, including testimony by experts for each side, the jury found in favor of Stonebridge.
  • Marc LaCasse has been elected President of the Board of Directors of Washington Gateway Main Street in the South End of Boston. Washington Gateway is one of 19 Main Street Districts in Boston whose mission is to promote economic development and commercial district revitalization.

  • Michael McCormack and Marc LaCasse are representing National Development Corporation of Newton, MA in the planned redevelopment of the Boston Herald building on Harrison Avenue in the South End. The plan calls for construction of 262 rental apartments and 60,000 square feet of retail space. The site is located in the Harrison/Albany corridor which is presently the subject of a comprehensive planning study by the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
